The site is funded through advertisements. By using Green Zone, you acknowledge that you will see ads displayed alongside our content.
Green Zone is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
Data Accuracy: While we source data from official NZ Police publications, we do not guarantee that all crime data is accurate, complete, current, or error-free. Crime statistics only reflect reported incidents — many crimes go unreported. Data may contain inaccuracies or omissions from the original source.
Service Availability: We do not guarantee that Green Zone will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. The site may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or factors beyond our control.
Fitness for Purpose: Green Zone is not intended to be used for making high-stakes decisions regarding personal safety, property purchases, insurance underwriting, law enforcement planning, or any other purpose where inaccurate data could cause harm. You should verify all information through official sources before relying on it.

The crime data presented on Green Zone is sourced from the New Zealand Police and is used in accordance with their open data terms.

If you are using Green Zone for purposes covered by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, note that our service is provided free of charge for personal use, and the Act's guarantees may not apply to free services in all circumstances.
To the extent that liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Green Zone shall not exceed NZD $100.
